March 4, 2016 “Here Comes the Sun”

After the wet, cold and rainy day we had yesterday I was overjoyed to hear a particular song on the radio as I drove to work this morning. The song, “Here Comes the Sun”, is a Beatles tune and it goes like this:
“Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it’s all right
Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter,
Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here.”
Just hearing those words had the power to lift my spirits and gave me the “umph” I need to get me to spring.
And it’s just around the corner! The first indication of spring here in the South is seeing the daffodils begin to bloom. A second signal that winter is behind us is when we set our clocks up an hour on March 12th – that won’t be a day too soon for me! I can’t wait to watch the sunsets while floating down the Coosa River on our boat this spring.
Another indication of spring? It’s prime fundraising season for nonprofits. So start enjoying spring flowers and sunsets and more daylight and don’t forget to support your nonprofit of choice at their events!
Make every minute a revenue generating minute!
